Hello Friends! Welcome to Yellow Daisy Photography! My name is Megan and I am so excited to get to know you! I am a natural light photographer, born in New Jersey and raised in the Midwest. Now I'm back home in the great state of New Jersey, raising my three daughters and doing what I love to do!

Fun Facts about me:

Autumn is my FAVORITE season. There’s little that I love more than a cozy flannel shirt, pumpkin coffee, and a long drive watching the leaves fall! Oh – and football. Lots and lots of football!
While Autumn is my favorite, it is followed very closely by Jersey Shore summers! I live for Rook coffee and beach days! Bradley Beach to be exact. Rook Cinnamon Vanilla Iced Coffee with milk to be super exact.
My first camera was a Kodak 110 that I got when I was 9 years old. Did it take quality images? Not really. Did I still carry that camera everywhere like a 9-year-old paparazzi? You bet I did.

My favorite thing about photography is connecting with people and being able to create images that truly express who they are. I love hearing people's stories. I love getting to know them. Frequently asked questions

How do I book a session?: Once we’ve discussed a date, time, and location, you will receive an invoice for the session fee. The session fee is paid online. Once I have received your session fee, your appointment is officially booked and you will get a confirmation email. I am only an email or call away if you have any questions!
What's a typical session like?: A full portrait session lasts 1 hour. Mini Sessions are 20 Minutes. Portrait sessions take place mostly outdoors. With children- the focus here is having FUN! We will laugh, play, run around, hang out, and be silly!
What should we wear?: This is a great question! Mixing and matching colors, textures, fabrics, and layers is key. Accessorize. Be yourself. Check out my Pinterest link and blog post to see some outfit ideas. For group portraits, the key is to put together a fun and cohesive look without looking exactly the same as everyone else in the portrait. Add a sweater, some accessories, a scarf, a jacket, anything to break up the matchy-ness and help each individual stand out. You are unique. Now is the perfect time to show it. Also, VERY important: avoid lettering or large logos on clothing. It's super distracting. Let's keep the focus on you!
Can we bring props to our session?: It's pretty awesome to incorporate some of your likes, passions, and hobbies into your session! Bring anything that speaks volumes about what kind of person you are...play a sport? Play an instrument? Have a cool collection? Let's be true to who you are and include some of these things into your session! Just be sure to mention any ideas you have during the scheduling process so that we can accommodate the idea when choosing a location and time.
When can I see my images and how do I get them?: I’m just as excited to share them with you as you are to see them! In most cases, your images will be delivered to you within two weeks of the session date. Images are delivered via on online portrait gallery. Follow the link in your email and you can download the high resolution images directly from the gallery. A print release is also given to you with recommended printing options.
Can I bring my pet?: ABSOLUTELY! We love including pets into our sessions. Just be sure to let us know beforehand so that we can choose a location that allows pets!
